Did you know that it was National Engineers Week in the USA? Engineers Week was created by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) in 1951, that's right, 72 years ago!
EWeek (February 19–25, 2023) is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. The goal of Engineers Week is to:
- Celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world
- Add your voice to the conversation about the need for engineers, technicians, and technologists
- Engage students in engineering
The theme of Engineers Week this year is creating the future! And engineers certainly play a vital role in innovating solutions to global challenges that impact future generations. By working together to develop new technologies, products and opportunities, engineers create new possibilities that make the world a better place. And that has certainly been true this year with the growth and advances in new technology such as AI, climate tech, web3 and robotics.
At FloCareer, we specialize in a certain type of engineer, the Software Engineer, as we help clients grow their tech talent and development teams of software engineers by conducting interviews for them. And software engineering has played a prominent role in all of these exciting new tech trends.
So join us as we celebrate our Engineers and help create the future! And even better, next week will be World Engineering Day on March 4th.
We will definitely celebrate the Global Day of the Engineer!
